Welcome
We live in one of the best places in the country for walking. We help local people enjoy walking and to protect the places where we all love to walk. Join us if you want to:
- meet new friends
- stay fit, boost your health and happiness
- enjoy walks led by our friendly volunteers and local experts
- explore beautiful and interesting places in great company
- keep our paths and countryside open and accessible to walkers
We are a friendly bunch, so just put on your boots, come along and enjoy the great outdoors with us.
Dogs are allowed at the leader's discretion. Do read our dog policy and check with the leader before the walk. Assistant guide dogs are permitted on all walks.
Path Maintenance Group
We are looking for volunteers to help maintain and repair local paths. If you are interested please contact us though the main Ramblers website.
Walk leaders
The walk leaders training on Saturday September 27 was a great success with Richard leading us through the modules in a entertaining, educating and enjoyable fashion. Watch this space as we may run another event in the future.
Not a member? Try some walks for free!
If you would like to try some walks but are not sure if The Ramblers is for you, you are welcome to come on up to three of our walks before joining the Association. Just let the leader know you are not a member when booking.
We know all the best places and would love to share them with you.
Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a World Heritage Site, interesting towns and villages, local legends, wildlife, the countryside with its changing seasons are all on your doorstep.
Telford and East Shropshire Ramblers organises regular walks and social events. There are short leisurely half-day morning pub lunch or afternoon tea shop walks as well as longer more energetic full day walks with a packed picnic lunch.
Without footpaths no one can go walking.
We work with our local councils to help maintain, record and protect our rights of way, report path problems and clear blocked paths. We also campaign for new and improved public access for walkers and other users of the countryside.
