We work closely with Telford and Wrekin Council to help keep our paths open.
We have recently cleared overgrown vegetation from the Silkin Way in Dothill. We helped in a national Ramblers' project to improve and repair the entire length of Offa's Dyke National Trail. Our Group repaired a boggy section by assisting with heather regeneration.

We cleared the entrance to the footpath in Rushmoor Lane (left), near Wellington which was completely overgrown and put in some steps.
Our project for this year is to adopt and improve The Hutchison Way long distance path. This is an important off road walking route which connects Wellington to Newport via Telford Town Centre.
The Hutchison Way, is the 18 mile long distance public footpath between Newport and Wellington. This was ‘re-opened’ 11 August thanks to our volunteers. The start of the footpath on Station Road was badly overgrown and to get around the obstacle course local people had been making do with an improvised way around using an adjoining field to join the main Hutchison Way path.
The before and after photo of our path clearance work at the start of the Hutchison Way (see pictures below left) was published on the Telford Public Group Facebook page.
